About Dr Kat

Dr. Kat Halloran, ND is a passionate, patient-focused Naturopathic clinical specialist.

She believes that the modern practice of Medicine has become too focused on the diseases and injuries, and often fails to care for the human seeking treatment.

Growing up, Kat was facinated by any sciences she could learn, and found a deep love of bio-chemistry, which led her to her first career as a Clinical Microbiologist.

After a deep "Dark Night of the Soul" experience, when she lost both her mother and older brother within 18 months of each other as they both lost their fight to alcoholism, Kat decided she needed to do more to help people in need seeking heart-centered, compassionate care on their journey to mental and physical health.

She moved across the country to study Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, USA. After medical school, Dr Kat has continued to seek further certifications and specialist education in the fields of Endocrinology, with a particular focus on Thyroid and Adrenal health, Mental and Emotional health as well as Pain Management and Holistic Pain Relief Techniques.

Dr Kat has a personal interest in Spirituality and the powerful intersections of health and healing when patients feel supported in Body, Mind and Soul. She infuses her practice with the belief that no matter what your personal spirituality is, it is often an important part of your healing journey.

Dr Kat has become a go-to specialist for both her peers as well as patients seeking a second-opinion, as she has a talent for identifying underlying causes of diseases and putting together the puzzle pieces of complicated medical stories.

Dr Kat believes that every patient should have a dedicated medical team who is passionate about supporting them.

Dr Kat believes that treatments should bring more benefit and less side-effects whereever possible.

Dr Kat believes that patients should be well educated so that they understand their own conditions to better advocate for their needs and desires during treatment.

Dr Kat believes that all-to-often, it is the frequently overlooked small, lifestyle interventions that lead to the best long-term health outcomes.

Dr Kat lives in Seattle, WA with her wife and their ridiculous amount of cats, and also a 25-year-old cockatiel, who enjoy making their presence known in pretty much any class she teaches from home.
